9 seater minibus including driver! INSURANCE HELL! Where can I get insured?

Q) Bought a minibus for our football team (5 aside) to travel up and down the country and save having to take additional cars. The bus was origninally a 13 seater which I am unable to get insured as I am 23, I took 4 seats out to make it a 9 seater and have had the logbook altered. However, insurance companies wont go any where near me, why is this? I have 4 years NCB and have been driving for 4 years, the DVLA say I can drive anything upto 17 seats under 3.5 tonne, so why cant I get insurance? its hardly a sports car and am sure it wont be breaking many speed limits. Can any 1 help? Thanks

A) There is One easy solution to this! You should apply for a PCV, Passenger carrying vehicle licence in Class B1. It is not legal if you are driving a minibus for private use if you have passed your test after a certain date, This is about 1997 I think, but you would have to check on the website. After having this, they will recognise you as a qualified driver.
